  School of Letters Faculty and Friends Reading  with Meera Subramanian, Eric Smith,  and Travis Eisenbise   Wednesday June 24 at 4:30pm Naylor Auditorium, Sewanee University   Meera Subramanian is the author of A River Runs Again: India’s Natural World in Crisis and A Better World Is Possible: Global Youth Against Climate Crisis, a YA graphic novel published in March.  Eric Smith is the author of the poetry collection Black Hole Factory (2018). Smith has had his work published in a wide range of places, such as 32 Poems, Southwest Review, The New Criterion, Pleiades, and The Rumpus. He is the managing editor and poetry editor for the Sewanee Review.  Travis Eisenbise 's work has appeared in Gulf Coast, Joyland, Masters Review Anthology X, Denver Quarterly, storySouth, and The Cancer Book: 101 Stories of Courage, Support and Love. We'll be waiting to hear the message (up to five minutes' worth, anyway).  aftermath: The back room may be open for folks who want to stick around once our readings are done. UPDATE * There will be a musical surprise or two at Tuesday's gathering.  * Local author  Beth Riner  will be signing copies of her new humorous mystery,   A Deadly Development , from 1 to 3 p.m. today (Saturday, June 6) at the university bookstore.
